CJC-1295 Side Effects

Small human pharmacology studies exist (healthy volunteers, 2006); development was discontinued — no approval

CJC-1295 with DAC was studied in healthy adults in single- and multiple-dose pharmacokinetic trials that reported injection-site reactions, headache, diarrhoea and flushing, with sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation for days after a dose. The compound never reached approval. Long-term safety of sustained GH elevation is the open question.

Research-use information only. Research-grade CJC-1295 is not an approved medicine; where trial or label figures appear below they belong to the pharmaceutical product studied, not to any research vial. This page does not give dosing or medical advice.

What is reported

Every rate carries its source. Where no source exists, no rate is printed.

What is not known

  • •Long-term effects of continuously elevated GH/IGF-1 — the trials were short.
  • •Research-grade identity (DAC vs no-DAC) and dose.

Mechanism-based cautions

  • •GH/IGF-1 axis: theoretical concern with active malignancy; possible glucose intolerance and fluid retention.
  • •The 'no DAC' form sold by most vendors is pharmacologically a different, short-acting molecule (modified GRF 1-29).

Regulatory status: Not approved anywhere; development discontinued in the late 2000s.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between CJC-1295 DAC and no-DAC for side effects?

DAC extends the half-life to days, so GH/IGF-1 stay elevated continuously; no-DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) acts for minutes and produces a pulse. Continuous elevation is the profile with more theoretical long-term concern.
