of bacteriostatic water → 500 mcg/mL (0.500 mg/mL)
Research peptides are supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed vials. Before use, the powder must be dissolved in bacteriostatic water (BAC water) — a process called reconstitution. The concentration you choose determines how much volume you inject per dose.
Pick a target concentration that gives you a convenient injection volume — typically 0.1–0.5 mL per dose. Higher concentration = smaller volume per dose.
Draw the calculated BAC water volume into a syringe and inject it slowly down the side of the vial. Never inject directly onto the powder — this can degrade the peptide.
Gently swirl the vial until the powder is fully dissolved. Do not shake — agitation can break peptide bonds. Store at 2–8°C, protected from light.
BAC water (mL) = Peptide (mg) × 1,000 ÷ Target concentration (mcg/mL)
Example: 5 mg peptide at 500 mcg/mL → 5 × 1,000 ÷ 500 = 10 mL BAC water
