Ipamorelin is a selective GH secretagogue and ghrelin mimetic. It is the most selective GHRP, producing GH release with minimal effect on cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH — making it the preferred GHRP for research protocols.
Standard Research Dosage
200–300 mcg per injection, administered subcutaneously 2–3x daily. Ipamorelin has a short half-life (~2 hours), requiring multiple daily injections to maintain GH pulse frequency.
Selectivity Advantage
Unlike GHRP-2 and GHRP-6, Ipamorelin does not significantly elevate cortisol or prolactin at research doses. This selectivity makes it the preferred GHRP when minimizing side effects is a priority.
Combination with GHRH Analogues
Ipamorelin is most commonly combined with CJC-1295 (no DAC) or Sermorelin. The GHRH + GHRP combination produces synergistic GH release 2–5x greater than either compound alone.
